Normally when I click on a link in Facebook it opens in a new tab. There a a few sites like townhall and npr that open in the Facebook tab and the back history has been cleared so that the back button is grayed out.

Then that is a facebook issue that you need to contact them about and then stop clicking the infected FB links.

I am running noscript and those sites are not allowed to run scripts. Firefox should not allow tab hijacking. This has started to be enough of a problem that the Chrome browser is trying to fix the issue.
