So I have started using the chat in thunderbird. I have a xampp server and account and connected more than one account. I also connected a gmail account.

I can see who is online with the gmail account. But my xampp account never shows anyone online. I can chat with them and all but they do not show if they are online. When I selected their account it says account status unknown.

Did I configure something wrong here?

Can anyone comment on this? Was is just not developed yet? It works for google messenger.

ok so an update on this. From what I can see I believe this might actually work. It wasn't working for a contact I had that I was chatting with however I didn't realize that they had not added my as a buddy. I re-sent a request and made sure I was added. I can now see this person status.
