I have just received an e-mail from the following address (Mozilla@e.mozilla.org) thanking me for creating a Firefox account. However I haven’t requested, nor have I created an account with yourselves. Is it possible to check my registered e-mail with yourselves to see if you have sent me any marketing materials etc or indeed if this is a hoax e-mail or an attempt of identity theft.

Many thanks,

Nadia.

Hi

We do not use that email address for Firefox Accounts, but it is used for marketing and information communication for people that have provided that address to us for those purposes.

If you did not register it, maybe someone else (possibly mistyping their own address) may have used it by mistake.

You should see links at the bottom of the email that will allow you to stop or change the emails that you are being sent.
