I expect it's just me being stupid, but is there an option to start Thunderbird automatically on Windows start up? I've not managed to do this even when I add it to a Start up Manager (Glary Utilities)

Windows OS....Good info here...under 'Add Apps'

On a separate note: Glary Utilities offers cleanup of temp files etc. As a precaution, I would suggest you make the Roaming/'Thunderbird' profile folder exempt. Other clean up software has been known to remove session, password etc files which can cause nothing but a headache if removed from Thunderbird profile folders.

Thanks Toad-Hall, I'd not thought to look there - that's old age for you!. I had been looking in the programme itself, as there is often a box to tick for this. I had managed to add it with JV16 Startup Manager, but may try taking it out of there and simply using your option
