I copied my profile folder from a windows 7 PC to a new Windows 10 PC. On the new Windows 10 PC, Firefox does NOT recognize this new profile and, instead, creates a brand new profile giving me an error message (see attached). How can I get Firefox on the new PC to open and use the profile from the old PC?

The new Windows 10 PC is running Firefox v66.0.5.

Thanks, Ben

A profile needs to be registered in profiles.ini to make it possible for Firefox to find and use this profile.

When Firefox doesn't find any profiles then a new default profile is created. You shouldn't see this error message though. This could be a problem with the parent.lock file.
