When I wanted to save a webpage, I would click on "bookmarks" and choose "bookmark this page". I was then given the opportunity to label the bookmark with my choice of verbiage and place it in "bookmarks menu" or "other bookmarks". Now, when I attempt to save a page, a little message pops up that says the page has been saved in "library", without any chance to name or place the bookmark where I want. When I go to library, I see the bookmark in there with a random name and always placed in "other bookmarks". I then have to manually re-name and re-locate the bookmark. This is beyond annoying. I don't want "library" making decisions for me. Can I turn it off and go back to what I did before? Please help. Thank you. fredklass52@gmail.com

The Edit dialog closes automatically in about 3.5 seconds if you do not take any action within it. You need to move the mouse pointer or press a key in the drop down to make it stay open (a mousemove and keypress within the pop-up clears the timeout).

The "Edit This Bookmark" dialog that opens if you click the highlighted star has a checkbox with "Show editor when saving" (shortcut key in the dialog is Alt+S). This item is at the bottom just above "Remove Bookmark" and "Done".

See "How do I change the name or location of a bookmark?"

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, this solution only works sometimes. It does always bring up the bookmark editing window, which is good. Sometimes that window will stay open indefinitely until I hit "cancel" or "done"--also good. However, other times, the window will open, but if I don't utilize it within about two seconds, it disappears and I get the little notification tag that says the page was saved to library. Do you have any suggestions for how to make this function work reliably so that I am always in control of naming my bookmarks, and not at the mercy of automatic mess-ups? I appreciate your help.
