My Firefox Browser crashes when i type "fi" in the search address
When i type "fi" in the search address, firefox freezes and i have to force close it. I have reinstalled firefox three times, disabled all the extensions, resetted settings and everything, but still when i type just the letters F and I in sequence in the address bar (only there) everything freezes. i tried other combinations, but everything else is fine. if "fi" is written with other letters in the same word it's fine, but if i start a new word with that, whatever it's the only word or not, the problem reappears. i have totally no idea what causes this wierd bug and i'm out of options, i need help. thank you.

hi, thanks for answering me. i did what you told but it is empty and it says that no crash report was sent.
Firefox may be having problems doing a lookup in the Places database (history, bookmarks) or retrieving search suggestions. Could you disable all three of those and see whether that helps? Here's how:
Call up the Options page:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the left column, click Search.
In the third section on the right, Search suggestions', make sure this box is not checked:
[_] "Show search suggestions in address bar results"
In the left column, click Privacy & Security.
On the right side, scroll down to the Address Bar section. Remove the check from these items:
[_] "Browsing history" [_] "Bookmarks"
Any improvement?
Hi, did it but not even a slight change :(
If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.
You can also check for problems with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
In case errors are reported with "Verify Integrity" close and restart Firefox and retry.
If "Verify Integrity" cannot repair places.sqlite, rename/remove all places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Profiles
It seems all okay but the caches. Can that be the problem?
