Emailing a link has changed - how do I?

more options

In my last computer (Firefox / Windows 7), when I clicked on File - Email Link it would open an email from my default email address (Thunderbird client) with the link in it. Now (Firefox / Win10) it asks me to sign in and then gives me some kind of account-holding email sub-server that I neither understand nor want. How do I get back to using that menu to create a new email in my usual way?

It's possible that your default email program changed in Firefox.

Go to the Firefox settings and scroll down to the Applications section. Find the mailto content type and make sure that you have Thunderbird selected there.
