I am trying to add DuckDuckGo as my default browser. It will not show up in the default list to choose. I have it added as an extension, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I am looking to replace the Google search bar in the Home page with DuckDuckGo. How do I go about accomplishing that? Thx in advance for all replies.

DuckDuckGo is a search engine. Firefox is the web browser.

Type about:preferences#search in the URL bar and hit Enter.
In that Options tab, set the Default Search Engine to DuckDuckGo.

Shouldn't need an extension in the US version of Firefox, DDG is part of the standard installation package for the US.
