Greetings,

I've been wondering is there a way (or setting) that will clear all cookies and site data when firefox closed, but with exception. For example I want all cookies and site data from all site be cleared when firefox closed except for mozilla.org and yahoo.com so when I reopen firefox i don't need to relogin to both sites.

When you use "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" to let the cookies expire when you close Firefox then you keep cookies with an allow exception. You can create a cookie allow exception for websites you want to remember you.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Exceptions"

You can set network.cookie.thirdparty.sessionOnly = true on the about:config page to let third-party cookies expire when yo close Firefox.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
