Menu Bar Zoom Options Missing

My [- 100% +] zoom buttons have disappeared. I use them all the time, and now they are not there, just a big white space between the Home icon and the Show Bookmarks icon. Zooming still functions with the menu or hotkeys (Command + and Command -), but the menu bar buttons are gone, and clicking in the sopace where they should be does nothing.

I've tried safe mode, restarting Firefox, and rebooting. Nothing seems to restore them.

Any suggestions?

Note that there are normally flexible spaces to the left and right of the location bar. Did you check in customize mode if the zoom controls are still positioned on the Navigation Toolbar ?
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window to the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.

Well, duuuhhh. Talk about an Eye-Dee-Ten-Tee error. I never even THOUGHT to check the customize mode, as I hadn't changed anything myself, it just disappeared between window use, so I never considered that Firefox had grown sentient and decided it didn't like them. You're right, they had been removed and were sitting there waiting to be replaced.

Thanks for the quick solve.

You're welcome.

Note that you might have removed the zoom controls accidentally via the right-click context menu (Remove from Toolbar).
