Syncing exchange calendars

Hi,

I used TB Sync and Provider Exchange Active Snyc to sync my calendar with my business exchange account (unfortunately my institution insists on using MS exchange). My system is Ubuntu 20.04 LTS 64 bit. That worked well until Thunderbird made its update to 78.7.1. Now, exchange is does just not sync any more (but my private google calendar with provider for google still does).

I tried re-installing the add-ons, re-booting etc. but to no avail. Any solution to that?

In this context, we are using shared exchange calendars, and in the past it was possible to sync these too using the Thunderbird EWS add-on. It would be good if such a possibility would be available in the future, too... unfortunately these features exert quite some pressure to use the clumsy Outlook and nasty Windows... :(

Many thanks in advance if a solution can be found!

The TbSync settings are under the Tools menu on the Menu Bar, or click TbSync in the Status Bar. Press Alt if the Menu Bar is hidden. The current version can still add accounts, as shown in the attached picture (TB 78.8.1/W10).

I should maybe add that the function to add or edit accounts at TB Sync has disappeared (see attached screenshot)

Many thanks - it worked!

The issue was as simple as that: the TB Sync menu had been moved from the add-on configuration to "tools", and these were hidden after the update.

Pressing alt was key, and now I adjusted the view, keeping the menu bar always visible.

It is necessary to keep an eye on the Options of TB Sync, starting synchronization manually for the exchange-account after every manual change to the calendar. Just to click synchronize in the calendar tab is not enough. That has not changed compared to the previous version, though,

But that is only a few clicks and I just sync the account manually after every larger change to my calendar entries. Many thanks again!
