Firefox 'forgets' logins and logs me out of sites often

i have been logged out of some of the sites often. i have a wattpad account and i am constantly logged out of it. in case i try to log back in, i discover my previously saved password doesn't appear. turns out, firefox wouldn't even have it, even after i manually create a new login for the same site. i close the firefox, open it again and the login is gone. i have set firefox to delete my site cookies but have given the right site exceptions. this problem does not stay for other accounts like google or such but only my most recent, such as this. the only add-ons i have is Firefox color, Tab Auto Refresh and Language Tool. it is quite tiring since i visit these sites very often and still be logged out or not have the password hand-in-hand.

Hi Vulpa, it is frustrating when the exceptions do not work. Here's my general suggestion for researching whether you might need more exceptions.

While you are on Wattpad, open the Storage Inspector panel using Shift+F9 or the menu item:

Tools > Web Developer > Storage Inspector

(Firefox 88 removed this, so you'll need to open the Dev Tools panel and find the Storage tab.)

Firefox should list all of the cookies used in the current page with their specific domain. For example, I see cookies set under two different Domains in that column (right-click any column heading to add this one if you don't see it):

So on your Exceptions list, make sure you have "Allow" for both of those. There still might be one more login cycle before the site starts setting a persistent cookies (i.e., the Expires column doesn't show Session).

Any improvement?

That actually worked! turns out i go to the 'clear cookies and site data' and make out what cookies i use from there. there was some other cookie too, actually (and for some reason it wasn't there in the 'clear cookies' place). Thanks!
