I updated Firefox to version 88 and all of my bookmarks are now gone. How can I get them back?

After updating Firefox all of my bookmarks disappeared. The folders they were organized into are still there but the bookmarks are gone. I tried restarting the browser, the computer, and logging in and out of Firefox but nothing worked.

What about the rest of your profile? Settings, bookmarks, history, passwords . . . .

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.
