Google maps works fine most of the time but sometimes the maps show only as a black screen. It's intermittent with no clear pattern. The archives show that others have posted about this problem but I'm not tech-savvy and don't understand the responses with suggested solutions.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
