Are bookmarks saved to a local device? I had uninstalled Firefox on my android device, and reinstalled in. I must have forgotten to sync bookmarks to my account.when I logged back in, all my bookmarks and saved passwords were gone.

Unless you have the bookmarks already syncced to another copy of Firefox, it will not be possible to recover them.
