How to disable "refresh firefox" reminder at bottom of browser screen
For several weeks, every time I open up Firefox I get this bar across the bottom saying:
"It looks like you haven't started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back! [Refresh Firefox]"
Where the [Refresh Firefox] is the button to make it happen.
First, I don't know what it means about not starting Firefox for a while. I open it every day.
Second, I don't want to refresh, and I don't want to be asked every day. How can I get rid of this question?
Thanks!

Hmm, I don't know why you are getting that message unless somehow you keep using a profile that is "read only" and never updates. But as far as you can tell, everything else -- recording history, adding bookmarks, etc. -- is working normally?
You can create a new Boolean pref with the name browser.disableResetPrompt and set its value to true to disable this notification.
- browser.disableResetPrompt = true
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
