Finally got Thunderbird to work with my Yahoo emails again...almost! I have two email accounts, both xxxx@pacbell.net. Receiving mail is fine on both accounts but I can only send from one at a time. I have tried to change the User Name in the "edit SMTP server..." and that fixes it except that it changes the username on both accounts. So I have to keep changing the username in order to send emails. HELP! I would love to keep using Thunderbird but this is not working for me.

Thanks, Jonelle

You should have 2 smtp servers in Tools/Account Settings, Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane. Give them unique Descriptions, e.g.. pacbell1 and pacbell2. The only difference is the User Name, which is the email address of the 2 accounts. Then, select each account in the left pane of Account Settings and set the Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the right pane to the matching smtp, e.g. account1@pacbell sends on pacbell1 and account2@pacbell sends on pacbell2.
