I used to be able to visit the Bureau of Meteorology Australian weather radar sites but now I get a message "You will shortly be re-directed to http://www.bom.gov.au". Nothing happens. I've found that another browser allows me to visit those radar sites suggesting those radar sites exist and that there may be a problem in the Firefox system. Seems this may be a known problem.

I've found that by using the "REFRESH FIREFOX" procedure under "HELP > More Troubleshooting Information" appears to have corrected my problem. Thanks for your participation.

If there is still a problem,

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

This website only works when the http:// protocol is used and in this special case you need to enable HTTPS-Only and click the padlock to switch HTTPS-Only to 'Off'.

Are you using Private Browsing mode as that is a possible reason the website is broken ? In that case a possible workaround for now is setting dom.security.https_first_pbm = false on the about:config page.
