Go to the newest email message when I click the Inbox
I have two email accounts, Google and Yahoo.
When I click on Google Inbox, I am directed to the 'newest' message.
When I click on Yahoo Inbox, I have to move the slide bar to reach to the top of the messages.
How do I fix this problem?

I am mystified. It sounded clear enough but the image does not show what I thought you described. In your original question you described two accounts in Thunderbird, one Yahoo, one Gmail, with their inboxes behaving differently. I thought you meant that the Gmail account highlights the newest unread which is what you want, and the Yahoo account highlights the newest read message. In the image I do not see any Yahoo account, and the Gmail inbox shown has the newest unread message not highlighted, highlight is on the newest read message. That's why a picture really helps. I was puzzled that you had two accounts behaving differently. Now it looks like the accounts shown are actually behaving the same. So to confirm - if you leave your Gmail inbox alone for long enough for more than one new message to arrive, does it in fact do the same as you described with Yahoo - that you have to scroll from the most recent read message to the newest unread?

Sort the Yahoo messages so that the newest message is shown at the top. You can look up how it is set up for the Google account. View (Alt-V) - Sort By
It is already sorted by the date received. But it goes to the last read message instead of the latest one like it should. I wonder if there is a setting for it.
And is is sorted Ascending or Descending?
Messages have already been sorted by 'Date Received'.
I wonder if the feature (of always go to the newest message) can be added in future versions.
Ascending or Descending means newest or oldest first. If you are sorting by date by clicking on the heading above that column, a second click reverses the order.
I know that. It is in ascending order (newest message first). When I click on Yahoo Inbox, it doesn't go to the top of the message. I have to move up my curser to the very first message.
Perhaps upload a screenshot of how that Inbox opens - that would help me and Christ1 see better?
Hello AgnesRM and Christ1,
When I click on the Inbox, I am on the last message which was read already.
I would like the very first message (the one above) to be opened instead.
Am I clear?

The short answer is 'Yes'.
I don't want to pursue this issue anymore. Thank you.
