How to transfer old Browsing History from Firefox to another one on another CPU?
Hi there, I have an old laptop which has FireFox installed on it with a lot of older Browsing History dated as far back as 2015 or 2016 which I've been attempting to transfer over to my newer Laptop's FireFox by synchronizing my FireFox account on both browsers. The bookmarks & tabs were synchronized between both, however, the browsing history from the older laptop doesn't transfer over to my newer laptop's Firefox.
I searched online for some troubleshooting, & discovered how to use about:config, where I found
- "places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages'" &
- "places.history.expiration.max_pages",
& for both I set the value to 999999. The result was the same.
I would like to inquire for assistance regarding this, if possible. Thank you!

I read in another thread that Sync has a date cut-off and doesn't transfer everything you may have from back in the day.
Do you want to have all of that history in Firefox -- so that visited links are shown as visited, or you can find older pages with address bar searches -- or would it be sufficient to have a document with a list of the dates/times/titles/URLs for reference when you want to do a search?
This is the program I use to export history (previous month, for quick reference): http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mozilla_history_view.html (for Windows)
Note that places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages was a read-only pref, but support ended with Firefox 85 and anyway modifying wouldn't have had effect. You can't reliably transfer history via Sync as there are limitations (new history only for last 30 days and history expires in 60 days) and you would have to copy places.sqlite.
