Hi there

Everytime I open Thunderbird on my desktop, it downloads hundreds of previously deleted/removed emails. It also often duplicates other emails that have been opened but not put into trash or removed. I think it's someone that's hacked the account but it's not picked up by my anti-virus/malware program.

Also fequently freezes the computer when in Thunderbird.....doesn't do that when the program is deleted as it is now.

Look forward to any suggestions or help

Thanks

Kerry

Who is your email service provider?

Hi Stan

The email provider is a local telecommunication company here in New Zealand called Spark.....ie. xtra.co.nz

I use this same email on my phone using BlueMail and don't have any issues at all

Thanks Kerry

What version of Thunderbird are you using? I heard about such an issue in the beta program, but nothing similar on release.

What type of account have you configured it as, in Thunderbird; IMAP or POP?
