Not sure if you are using the distro provided build or you download the tarbal from https://www.thunderbird.net/

You can download Thunderbird in that language you want at https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

Thank you so much, any idea how I install this all it will do is extract the files..... as you guess I am new to linux but I love it , if I can get to learn it. Some things install automatically like in windows but then some don't ! Thanks again

The basics whether for Firefox or Thunderbird is to extract the tar into a folder you created. Then you can run the thunderbird-bin or the .sh file. You can create a launcher shortcut to it on desktop or panel. If you are the only user then putting it in a folder in Home is a easy way for user to have read/write permissions to get updates.
