‘Copy to' list no longer shows number of addresses with the new update for Thunderbird. Instead it only shows MORE. Please add this feature back to Thunderbird.

Also, please stop showing my email address as "Me." Show the actual email address. (There are two of us using different email addresses, both of which are shown as "Me")

re : please stop showing my email address as "Me." Show the actual email address.

Sounds like you have not set it up to display whatever you require, so it's using the default.

Add yourself as a contact into the 'Personal Address Book' You just need to fillin first name, last name and email address, then choose from the options below.

  1. If you add your name into the 'Display Name' then you see that name.
  2. If you do NOT add a 'Display Name' and do NOT select 'Prefer display name over message header', then you see 'ME <email address>'
  3. If you do NOT add a 'Display Name' but DO select 'Prefer display name over message header', then you see '<email address>'

when you have finished click on 'Save'

You can also control how the 'Display Name' in your address book is used. In Settings > General 'Reading & Display' section 'Display name' sub section if you select the checkbox 'Show only dispay name for people in my address book' This means you can control what you see in the header. As an example, my mother has an email address and by default she adds her name as the Display name before her email address. However, in my address book, I have set up the 'Display Name' as 'Mum'. So anything from her auto displays 'Mum' instead of her default name and email address.

You can control how many lines to display before the 'More' button gets displayed. 'Settings' > 'General' Scroll to the bottom and click on 'Config Editor' button You my get a friendly warning :)

It opens in a new tab. In top search type: more look for this line: mailnews.headers.show_n_lines_before_more by default the value is the number 1

Click on the pencil icon on the right and now you can edit that number. Remove the number 1 and type eg: 4 The pencil icon has changed to a tick icon - click on it to save your setting. Now, it will display considerably more. That 'More' button should now appear if there are alot of names. Obviously the higher the number the more room is afforded before it appears. It also depends on the width of the window. If you see 'More' and then make window wider, you can select another email then reselect the one with 'more' and you see the 'more' button get removed on reselection as the window is now allowing more contacts to be displayed per line. This means the number you choose in that setting also depends upon the width of the Message Pane.
