Trapped in Thunderbird beta
I have mistakenly signed up to the beta version when changing my system from windows to ios. It misbehaved to the point where I have to use only the Troubleshoot mode. Now that has stopped recognising my password for posteo. The password is correct as I have made it visible and it is the same one I use to login directly to posteo. Can anyone help me out of this? many thanks! neville

Hello ther Neville.Cramer. We have read your message. We try to help you.

There is no excuse that a beta version can just be deleted like a regular version of Thunderbird. If that is the question ?
Considering the versions for IOS are not available you can simply swap the versions on your machine Windows for the latest version of it

How is that password issue at the moment? Can I ask?

My suggestion: - if POP account, copy mail folders elsewhere with Thunderbird not running - uninstall the beta, delete the profile, and install the release version - set up the mail account and, if POP do not enter password. - with thunderbird not running, copy the mail folders to overlay the ones defined in setup.
Thanks for getting back to me. I have been using Troubleshoot mode. There was a minor issue, but I managed that. My posteo password is saved in Tbird. And it is set to download messages on startup. Two days ago, whenever I started in Troubleshoot mode, it asked for my password. When I entered it, it just asked again and kept asking. I have to use force quit.
My idea is to save my profile and get out of Tbird beta. Then find the last validated version for ios. Is that easy to do? Thanks, Neville
The profile itself is the problem. I suggest starting fresh with a new profile.
Dear David, Thanks for that. I have just checked, and I am IMAP connected. I think that I chose this at setup because there were times when I did not have access to Thunderbird, so I wanted to be able to use Posteo online. Thanks agagin, Neville
I'm glad all worked out okay. :)
Hello there Neville Cramer.
These recommendations just written to you are indeed the best to implement I had already sent you a link for these topics to implement.
Can I not send you a version Thunderbird for the devices you use concerns Thunderbird for IOS. This feature has not been present for now yet.
Also streaming services like popcorn movies is not available for IOS devices. Sometimes these issues are just wonky.
But you have been helped with the explanation that already spoke for itself.
