The Date column and the Received column have the wrong time for messages received in the In Box and also in the Sent Box. The time shown is 8 hours ahead of the time of my system. Windows 11. Can I adjust TB to use the system time? Or can I adjust TB to show the correct time another way?

Thunderbird uses UTC time. This is based on Windows system on the locale in windows settings. As you can see mine is set to UTC +9:30 The actual time you have set is not referenced as it is not relevant to the person sending the mail, or the mail server processing the mail so universal time is used with appropriate offsets to correct for geography.
