Hi all. Permit me to say thank you in advance to the people responding.

I am running a late 2010 MacBook Air, Firefox V 112 (64 bit), IOS 10.13.6. Search Engine is Duck Duck Go. Web pages have become very slow to load. Lower left hand part of the screen displays "waiting for Duck Duck Go, waiting for YouTube, etc." I have the same problem with a like vintage Lenovo V460 running Windows 10. It's not the router because my smartphone loads pages wicked fast and it uses my router for data. The phone is using Firefox Focus.

Changing the browser to Safari speeds loading. Changing the browser to Edge does the same for the Lenovo V460.

This problem began with both computers after Firefox recent updates, although I don't recall when it started. Suggestions? I have been a Firefox user since forever ago and I'd really like to keep using it.

Thanks again.

Allen.

Thank you for the Quick Fixes URL, Terry.

I did see that before I asked for help. The problem is happening with two different computers and two different operating systems. The common elements are the age of the computers, both more than 10 years old, the browsers, both Firefox, and the router. Ram seems not to be an issue. The Macbook Air has 4 Gb, the Lenovo V460 has 8 Gb.

By changing browsers on each computer, I can reduce the latency in page loading. And, I did not have this problem prior to the last few Firefox updates. So it seems to me the problem is between the browser and older computers.

Thank for taking the time out of your day to offer help. It is appreciated.
