OK....I wake up and start my computer and up comes the new and enhanced version of Firefox that I ignore. Then I go to my bookmarks and they are gone. Where did they go? Is this a home invasion by Firefox? All my usual quick links are now gone replaced by BS lilke Twitter.

Is there some type of restore to get back what I want and really do use. I hate to go through the process of getting 30 links bookmarked again.

Go to about:profiles. Do you have one profile or more?

No. Just one profile. Usually just sign on with no issues. Now I have to start the process of bookmarking certain accounts but other bookmarks I occasionally us are now lost. I have no idea what FireFox did? I have no idea where I can find a restore. I will also do Google Chrome in parallel.

See if this article helps: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them

(in particular, see the section titled "Restoring from backups")

Nope. I have danced all around on this with the last attempt getting into application basics. Anywhere I go all that I have is bookmarks from 5/10. Frankly, I just figure it is easier to recreate and accept those that I lost. Also, naturally, all passwords got obliterated but that has a backup.
