With the latest few updates to mitid (danish government online identification), it has been severely broken in Firefox (can't press "open app" in the browser, leaving you unable to auth). But the latest update introduced the use of one time codes(which can be enabled in the app) , enabling us to press "open app on other device", go to the app, read the code and input it.

I wonder how hard it would be for a Firefox to enable the app to work as simply as it does in chrome / safari?

Hi

Have you tried using the Android split screen? It will help you to view two different apps at the same time and might help.

Great idea! Sadly I think mitid breaks a bit when it is not in full focus (probably protection against overlays) and won't let me submit the 2fa codes.
