How do I turn off the wretched UI animations?

I'm not sure about any of the following.

Is there a way to turn off the UI animations? I'm using Firefox for Ubuntu 114.0.1 (64-bit). I did a web search and some page said to open about:config and set toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled to false, but when I try it it's not there. Maybe some people like these animations but I have autistic spectrum sensory sensitivities and the dots jiggling back and forth when a page is loading and the swoosh on the tab when it loads, among other things, are making me dizzy.

It wouldn't have worked since the stone age. You have to create a numeric preference ui.prefersReducedMotion = 1 and restart the browser.

It looks like, that's nailed it, thank you very much (it's like they tried to make it difficult to find on purpose!)!
