Firefox has been my preferred browser for the past ten years because it allows me to keep everything organised in one place, but lately I've noticed that social media pages take longer than 10 seconds to load and other websites, like Reecoupons, take even longer. Given that I have a fast Internet connection of 100Mbps, is there any way to reduce the time it takes for websites or webpages to load? Is the issue of my windows? I have Windows 10 Pro. Can somebody help me to how to improve the speed of browser

Hello,

I understand that you're experiencing slow loading times with Firefox on your Windows 10 Pro system. As a Firefox Support Forum volunteer, I'm here to assist you. There are several steps you can take to improve the speed of the browser and reduce webpage loading times:

Clear the browser cache: A full cache can slow down webpage loading. To clear the cache, go to the Firefox menu, select Options, and under the Privacy & Security tab, click on "Clear Data." Check the box for "Cached Web Content" and click "Clear."

Disable unnecessary add-ons and extensions: Some extensions and add-ons can impact browser performance. Go to the Firefox menu, select Add-ons, and review the installed extensions. Disable any that you don't need or suspect might be causing slowdowns.

Update Firefox: Ensure that you're using the latest version of Firefox. Updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes. To check for updates, go to the Firefox menu, select Help, and click on "About Firefox." If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Disable hardware acceleration: In some cases, hardware acceleration can cause performance issues. To disable it, go to the Firefox menu, select Options, and under the General tab, scroll down to the "Performance" section. Uncheck the box for "Use recommended performance settings" and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available."

Check for conflicting software: Some antivirus or security software can interfere with browser performance. Temporarily disable any third-party security software and see if it improves the loading times. If it does, you may need to adjust the settings of your security software or switch to a different program.

Reset Firefox settings: If the issue persists, you can try resetting Firefox to its default settings. This will remove any customizations but may resolve any underlying problems. To reset Firefox, go to the Firefox menu, select Help, and click on "Troubleshooting Information." In the new tab, click on "Refresh Firefox" and follow the instructions.

These steps should help improve the speed of Firefox and reduce webpage loading times on your Windows 10 Pro system. If the issue persists, please let me know, and we can explore further options.

Looking at my screenshot, you can see that the site loads pretty fast for me. It took under 2 seconds. You will need to tweak your network to get faster webpage load times. You will need to log into your router and see what DNS is set. Finding a better DNS provider will speed up load time. Here's a site I've used for a long time. He has an app that will test your DNS and show you the best performers. https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

You should test DNS from the providers on this list. https://www.lifewire.com/free-and-public-dns-servers-2626062
