Can't sync my Firefox info because when I give the email, it says "

To save and sync a new password, I put my email in and hit "Sign up or Sign in" - but then it tells me are you sure you want to create this account, because a previous user was in sync on this computer: and it's my same email. If I say yes and continue, it is asking to set a password and create an account. What happened to just signing in? Why did it stop me from doing so and reroute me like this? I'm in same browser and user platform as always on this device. Big snafu for no reason. BTW I signed in now with a different account to Support because I have to sign in to ask the question.

Something doesn't add up here. Sync works with only one user account per profile. So trying to do multiple profiles will not work and will delete or remove sync from same Browser. Doesn't sounds like from the message you have a sync account setup for sync process otherwise it would've gone to the Firefox account login for sync. Sounds more like two different Firefox account trying to sign-in on the same Browser and that's something one shouldn't do by doing so will delete or remove any settings from the same Browser.
