Thunderbird keeps rejecting E-mails from one address even though it's whitelisted

So, I belong to a website where one can post stories, and since late last month, I've been unable to get alerts from that website since Thunderbird keeps rejecting E-mails from the bot that sends out the alerts. I tried whitelisting the bot by putting the E-mail address into my personal address book for both my IMAP and POP accounts and making sure the "Do not automatically mark mail as junk if the sender is in Personal Address Book" option is checked, but the E-mails keep getting rejected. Is there any way to fix this?

Are the alerts blocked by the mail provider's spam filters? Check the account in webmail and whitelist the sender.
