Could you explain what happened before your emails went missing? Depending on what happened it may be possible to retrieve the emails.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, one morning, it flickered. Then when settling, I got only incoming new emails. Now I see that I lost all of 2023 and first 10 days of this January. Further back through the years is still there and I am getting new quite normally. Strange???

Sounds like you lost a section, so you have prior to 2023 and since 11th Jan this year to present.

• What Operating System do you use? Windows 10 ?
• What Anti-Virus do you use?
• What version of Thunderbird are you currently using?

• Are the missing emails in an Imap or Pop mail account ?
• Are the missing emails gone from only the 'Inbox' or across lots of various folders?
• Did an 'Archive' occur and those missing emails are actually in the 'Archives' folder?

Logon to webmail account via a browser and report on whether the missing emails are on the server.
