Trash showing wrong number of mails

Since this week, the trash folder doesn't show any mails anymore. It says there are eight mails inside, but despite having not filters active, none of them are shown.

When I log into the webmailer of my provider, there are only two mails in the trash (the most recently deleted mails), and they are shown properly.

I use Thunderbird on Windows 11 Pro and the mail provider is 1&1.

trash does not get checked fr new mail unless you select it. Or right click the folder, select properties and include it in mail checking. You might want to include the junk folder as well.
