I'm root on a bunch of Linux machines and I'd like to write and add addons to setup some security-related policies. Writing the addons is not a problem, the problem is how I can make sure that they're installed for all users on the machine and cannot be disabled.

This is Ubuntu, which currently distributes Firefox as snap, but if necessary, I can probably use more classical Debian packages instead.

You would do this via policies.json. See ExtensionSettings:
