Hi George,

I am sorry you had trouble starting Firefox on your N800. Any more luck? How is your connectivity/wifi? What build do you have?

Hello Caitlin

Unfortunately no luck. I have OS2008 -- Installation goes flawless - I see FF in Extras and takes about 6.4MB of device memory - connectivity of the device is perfect and all other applications work well. When attempting to start FF there is some activity but no screen or even a sign of crash or of anything freezing. In fact I can only see the CPU getting busy for a moment and then nothing. This is what gets me confused and cannot figure from where to start looking at the problem. Thanks for any suggestion

George,

Can you try launching from the terminal? "/usr/bin/fennec" should be enough to start the app.

Hello and thanks for the advice. I tried as you said and when I launch *fennec* from */usr/bin/* then I get : *Could not find compatible GRE between version 1.9.2 b5pre and 1.9.2.1 *--- It is beyond my knowledge ... Any advice greatly appreciated.
