Hello.

I don't know how solve your problem (have you tried the plugins/extension manager?) but I have to warn you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment is long unsupported and has know vulnerabilities and bugs. Please update to the newest version for the best performance, security and features. It's totally free and you can get it at www.getfirefox.com . I think you can also get it through Firefox's normal update service, but if that doesn't work, you have the link there. Updating won't erase any of your data, of course.

You can disable that extension in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

If you update then make sure that your Linux installation meets the requirements for Firefox 3 or 3.5/6
