My Buddy DREW FIXED by going to tools/addons/extensions/ and disable COOL PREVIEWS. that was it. no more SOUND!

I didn't start having this problem till I actually went to the Google site. Then I couldn't get RID of the song playing.

I have tried removing the Firefox / Google start page and using a blank screen instead. I also tried removing my Google Tool Bar. I even changed my default search link from Google.

Not sure what to do next???

try uninstalling cool previews from firefox and it stops the pac man song!

Um, it's the plugin's fault. Not Google or Firefox. You chose to use a third party plugin. Something went weird today. Deal with it.

Damned annoying. I thought I had gotten some spyware on my computer. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm going to disable Cool Previews (as suggested) and see if that works for me as well.

just uninstall the CoolPreviews add-on and the noise will go away.

Definetely it's the "Cool preview" add on. I disabled it here and that freaking annoying sound stopped!

How do we get rid of this annoying sound. I am so fed up I could scream..... I don't have time for this. How did it happen and how do I get rid of it.

Disable cool iris previews add on, and the music will stop (and restart the browser)

I have the same problem only just disabling cool previews didn't help, i had uninstall cool previews completely. Also it doesn't happen only when I visit google, it happens on any page I go to using firefox including my company's home intranet page, facebook, bank of america site, whatever. Its quite lame, super annoyingly loud and very inconvenient.

I had the same problem trouble is it started when I was starting a banking transaction so made me panick for a moment. Anyway, all you fools blaming google for this error SHUT UP ! You do not have a clue ! This is simply a 3rd party add-on which conflicts the best interests of Mozillas capabilities... Just disable the cool previews as everyone has said & stop blaming Google for trying to cheer up your day you sad foolish blamers... Whoever wrote this crap quote:

"I am terribly disappointed with Google at this point. Sad. Truly."

I am 100% google couldn't give 2 s H i T s about what you think...

Disabling Cool Previews stops this...

Just update cool preview to 3.1 and it fixes it.

  1. 1
  2. 2
  3. 3
