Google.com home page stopped working when clicking search

The homepage of Google.com will not search when clicking the search button, nor does it give the autocomplete suggestions. The little browser search field within Firefox works fine but just not their homepage of .com (.co.uk does work though). Strangely this works fine at my workplace using same version of Firefox. I have not changed a single setting nor introduced a new plugin/extension.

Same problem here. Same Firefox version but with XP Professional SP3.
