Have you tried to go to View Menu Toolbars and check to see if they should display? Also check the Tools-> Options -> Privacy setttings for The URL bar or setting the custom history options.

Go to Tools Addons to check for extensions to see if they are listed as compatible enabled or disabled with the latest Firefox 3.6.4 release.

Can't see the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, History...Help)? Hold down the key and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M The Menu Bar should now be displayed permanently, unless you turn it off again (View > Toolbars). Turning the Menu Bar on and off is a new feature in version 3.6.

If that doesn't work, try resetting your toolbars and controls through Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
