Firefox hangs when page prompts to upload a file

more options

I typically have multiple tabs open and the page that I am on prompts me to upload a file. When I get to the popup where I can browse my drives - firefox hangs and really sucks up CPU time (40%-50%).

I always have to use the Task Manager to end Firefox

For me (Windows 7 Prof Ger) it seems that the problem was the "Windows Media Network Sharing Service". I stopped (and disabled) it via the Control Panel and now Firefox runs fine. May or may not be the cause of the problem.
