I have HTC Hero with android 2.1 installed. Everytime I try and install firefox it says its out of space and it should only need 32mb to work but when I checked my phones storage it says there is about 40mb internal storage available and 392mb of SD card storage.

The normal mobile Firefox version will not work on the HTC Hero, you could try the experimental ARMv6 nightly builds, but no guarantee that it will work. For details see the system requirements section at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

Same issue on HTC Desire running 2.1

The latest nightly build of Fennec requires about 15 MB of internal storage for a clean install (if you uninstall old versions first).

If you have Android 2.2, then you can move the app to SD card and it will take less than 5 MB of internal storage for a fresh install.

I'll try once again but I had the same 'out of space' problem some time ago. Then I can give a more accurate user report. Thanks
