IE uses an ActiveX control to handle Flash objects.
Firefox uses a different NPAPI plugin.

Your above posted list of installed plugins doesn't show the Flash plugin for Firefox. See Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems and Install the Flash plugin to view videos, animations and games

See: Troubleshoot Flash Player installation for Windows: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html

Download Flash Player with the manual installer:
Flash Player 10 Plugin (All other Windows browsers, such as Firefox or Google Chrome)

You can check the Adobe welcome and test page: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Your version of Java is out-of-date and has known security issues. You should update.

  • Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_16 for Mozilla browsers
  1. Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
    • Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
  2. Update Java:
more options

Uninstalled all Java, Flash Player sw and tools, cleaned and restarted from scratch.

Plugin check gives:

  • Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.220.4 1.6.0.22
  • QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.8 7.6.8.0
  • Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U22 1.6.0_22

From Control Panel I have:

  • Java 6 Standard Edition (build 1.6.0_22-b04)

In Advanced options > Java default for browser > "Mozilla browser family" gives suggestion:

  • "use Sun Java with tag APPLET in Mozilla browser",

and does not accept selection of this option.

Installed software displays:

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex and Plugin 10.1.85.3
  • Java 6 upd 22 6.0.220

In Namoroka > Add-on > Plugin I see:

  • Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.220.4 enabled
  • Java Platform SE 6 U22 6.0.220.4 enabled
  • Mozilla Default Plugin 1.0.0.15 enabled Quick Time Plugin 7.6.8 enabled

Adobe Flash Player check gives:

  • install Windows Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera (and other plugin-based browsers) 10.1.85.3

That is what I do, the Plugin is again downloaded and installed, but Mozilla does not diplay the content.

Could you confirm that Namoroka 3.6.3, x64 is compatible with Flash Player? IE8 works fine.

Thank you.

I have a problem with Flash Player 11.2.202.235 aka Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 and Firefox 12.0 running on Windows XP SP3 32bit. Every time that I try to install Flash Player (Mozilla Firefox version, NOT ActiveX version), the install succeeds but Flash does not appear on the list of plugins and Firefox behaves as if the plugin does not exist. I was able to get it working with some intervention. I needed to manually copy this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_11_2_202_235.dll over to this folder: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins in order to get Flash to start working again. I do not know why I needed to do this manually, but everything started working OK after I did this step. At the same time, I don't know if it was needed but I also followed with the standard Mozilla "re-initialize the plugins database" step https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting%20plugins#w_re-initializing-the-plugins-database

It looks that the Flash installer doesn't create a registry entry that makes Firefox finds the Flash player.

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MozillaPlugins

Did you try to run the Flash installer as Administrator?

more options

Yes, the installation was performed from an account with Administrator rights.

more options

Installing a program from an Administrator account isn't sufficient, you still need to run the installer as Administrator via "Run as > Administrator" in the right-click context menu to get the proper elevated access rights.

more options

There is no such thing as elevated access rights. As stated above, this is a Windows XP 32 bit installation of Firefox, not Vista or Win7.

By default, the installer should already have permission to modify the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry branch.

And the installer should not fail silently if for some reason it cannot modify this key.
