When I installed Firefox 3.6.12, the browser no longer works.
Until yesterday, I was able to use Mozilla Firefox with no problem. Then I installed Firefox 3.6.12 on my home computer. Immediately, Norton sent me a notice with words to the effect of, "You are about to download Insight. You are among the first to do so; don't continue until Norton can find out more about it." It carried an unknown signature.
When I tried to visit a website right after 3.6.12 was installed, it crashed. I tried again and crashed again, several times. After each crash, I have sent a report using the Crash Reporter and even have included my e-mail address so that I can be reached that way.
I tried to retrieve the crash reports I have sent using the instructions provided, but Windows comes back with "No items match your search."
I will try to get the crash IDs later using the location bar. I can't do so now for the reasons outlined below.
In the meantime, please investigate the possible connection between the crashes and Norton Insight.

To clarify: The reason I can't get the crash IDs now is that I am on a computer different than the one on which I got the crashes. I must wait to return to my home computer to see the IDs.
For me it seems to be related to the Shockwave Flash plugin (10.1 r85). Firefox seems to crash only when some flash pages have to be displayed and if I disable to the Flash player plugin Firefox don't crash anymore. This is not a solution just a diagnostic.

I have installed an old version of the player (10.0 r45) and it seems to solve the problem.
