Hi folks. I know there must be a setting somewhere that I missed, so point me to it please! I have firefox set up so that the original page opens as a blank page. That works fine. Until one of the recent updates (3.6.11? I am not sure), when I open a new tab page, it also came up with a blank page. Now, whenever I open a new tab, it send me off to the Yahoo search page. This is NOT fine.

What setting am I missing that should start me out with a blank tab page again?

Many thanks.

New tabs open a blank page by default, so you probably have an extension that open the Yahoo search page.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
