You must select "English/United Kingdom" as your first preferred language if you want to have search results for your country. Check out Settings for web content, pop-ups, fonts, and languages for more details.

To change your default search engine, see Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox.

Note: it exist a en-GB version of Firefox that you can download from: http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/. In this version, "English/United Kingdom" will be defined by default as your first preferred language.
