Firefox 3.6.10 isn't displaying the suit symbols for Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades correctly for the webpage below. Is this a webpage problem or a Firefox one? If Firefox how can it be corrected?

The Symbol font (font-family:Symbol;) doesn't work in browser like Firefox. There is also a lot of other MS Office (mso-xxx) CSS code used on that page that will only work in IE. You will need to use Unicode replacements for the suite symbols. (♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ : ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦)

Sorry, - http://www.baa-lamb.co.uk/Lesson%20on%20Transfers.htm - isn't a valid webpage. Merely having a HTM file extension on an Office / Word file doesn't make it a true web page, that browsers other than IE can correctly interpret and correctly display.
