How do I clear/reset auto populated drop down lists of html form input fields?

Firefox seems to remember my entries into text input fields of html forms from any and all websites. Then as I am typing in a text field of an html form, Firefox presents me with a drop down list of possible completion words or phrases. These words and phrases are from something that I had typed at some other time or sometimes even some other website.

Over time these--not so helpful--drop down lists have accumulated a lot of garbage data.

I want to be able to reset/clear this data out so that these drop down lists don't pop up anymore with irrelevant list of garbage data.

Or, I'd just like to be able to turn off this browser feature completely.
