When I click on Mozilla Firefox, the google start screen comes up but then it times out w/o access to the net. Firefox is default browser. I can access the net easily w/ Internet Explorer. I asked this previously but could not implement the suggestions.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Thanks to all for the help but problem actually was a Proxy Server Problem. I had already dealt w/ the Firewall Problem and Default Browser Problem. Selecting the "No Proxy" setting corrected the new problem. And the beat goes on, and on, and on......... ! At this stage of my life (old aged curmudgeon) I am beginning to feel that the so called benefits of the Net are not worth the hassles! However, I must say Mozilla has renewed my faith in what the net "could" be.
